For Family Gatherings, Make Sure to Get a Frame Tent

Thinking of going camping with the family? There are few ways to make the experience more comfortable and enjoyable than by bringing along a frame tent. It's not your ordinary sleeping tent: frame tents are prized for the wide walking space they can provide. And a tent that is large enough to fit everyone in it is perfect for the whole family!

A frame tent is a sort of tent that leaves a lot of headroom even close to the walls. It is supported by rigid poles, and is not to be mistaken for the "A-frame tent," or a familiar teepee-type of tent where the cloth simply hangs from a single wide pole stationed at the center of the floor area. The cloth used on the frame tent is usually heavy, so there is little need for using ropes to keep the flaps from flying off. However, some pegs may still be needed to keep the edges of the tent in place.

Frame tents are also normally double-layered, which would explain why they are normally heavy and hard to carry around. If you are carrying a frame tent with you on a camping trip, make sure your truck, trailer or family vehicle has enough room and can carry its weight! These tents could be large enough to contain two to eight people. Some of these tents are also roomy enough to have receptacles that could serve as bathroom and kitchen areas!

Renting a frame tent instead of buying it is a viable option, especially you aren't thinking of going to many camping trips, or aren't considering having a frame tent you could lend to friends and relatives - or perhaps even rent out to others, too. Renting, needless to say, is much cheaper. Plus, you don't have to deal with storage problems. You can't just pack away a tent and expect it to take care of itself, after all - you have to make certain that it's clean and dry before you store it. Otherwise mold and other things could deteriorate - if not downright ruin - the quality of the cloth.
